The patience of a gnat
Ok, so maybe not a gnat, maybe a hummingbird. You know how they both just flutter around constantly never really sitting still for more than a few seconds. I have come to the conclusion that I have no patience. You know how Danny can't sit still without something moving? Or if he is sitting still to prove a point you find out later it is because he was doing intricate math equations in his head. Well that is what I have been like since we decided to get our puppy from a breeder and not animal welfare or a pet store. I originally said it must be what waiting to have a baby is like, but I know that isn't a fair statement to make, before all of you mothers jump on that wagon. So I thought about it some more and come up with this new comparison. It is like being a little kid and waiting for Santa to come Christmas Eve. You have been thinking about it for months and can't wait for the actual day to get here. That is how I am about this puppy. Danny says I am a little obsessed. I really can't help it. I have never had to wait this long. I mean there was the whole finding a breeder, then waiting for conception, then the two months of gestation, and then the two months of them growing - up before they can go home. Usually you find the puppy you like, you pay for it, and you take it home. It's that simple. I am going nuts with all this waiting. Then there is the fact that the breeder is all the way in Wisconsin, ( sorry Kevin & Karen). We have been trying for three weeks to go and see the puppies and things keep getting in the way. I understand they are things that can't be helped, but still... I want to see those puppies. Well, if everything goes according to this weeks plans, we will be going to see the puppies this Wednesday. If we make it, I will let Bandit post any pictures we will get. Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes well this time.

I'm back
I know it has been a while since I posted. Bandit and I are sharing a computer now so I have been letting him use it . As Bandit mentioned in his last post, we will soon be getting a new addition to our family. We talked to the breeder the other night and both of her dogs are definitely pregnant. One is due around February 4th and the other is due around February 16th. We will be getting our puppy from her when we get back from Vegas at the end of April. I'll let Bandit fill you all in on more details. Bye for now.

Saying Goodbye
How is it possible to say goodbye to someone who has taught you so much? This Sunday we received the phone call we had been dreading for a while now. Our beloved "Gram" had passed away. We know that she is in a better place now where there is no suffering or pain, but we still miss her terribly. How do you say goodbye to someone who in a large part has made you the person you are today? Gram has taught so many people so many things there is not enough room here to list them all. Gram was a strong woman with deep religious and family values that she has passed on to all who love her. She was a small woman with a giant spirit and an even bigger heart. It is an honor to have been made a part of her family. These last several months as her illness progressed she never once complained and always relished in the time spent with family and friends. So how do you say goodbye to someone who has meant so much to so many, you don't. You say until we see you again. You are always in our hearts. We love you and miss you Gram.

Day 2
Here we are again. I finally got my computer back from Bandit. Every time I want to type a post, he has my computer and is typing away. He amazes me at how talented he is. So I had a talk with the little guy and he said that since he is so much more talented at writing these blogs that I am, that he will take over posting about our trip on his site for now. So for further road trip updates feel free to link onto Bandit's blog from this page if you don't already have his site book marked.
